     This is a book that I have wanted for some time, and now I am the proud owner of one of the best mineral photography books ever written (I may be biased). I came across it a few years ago while visiting with the late Dr. Walt Bowser. I couldn’t put it down. Then again, while visiting Larry & Vicki Bruce, I would put down for the evening and scour Larry’s copy. Unknowingly we rockhounds have been looking at Jeff Scovil’s mineral photographs for years. They are without question some of the best around, and they are everywhere. I can hardly wait to get his book on digital photography! If you are serious about reading a professional photographers advice, especially when it comes to photographing minerals, then Jeff’s book is for you.
